Wheels Shareable E-Bikes, Now Come With A Helmet

Wheels, an e-bike startup based out of the U.S., is making safety a priority.  With their newly redesigned two wheel e-bike, all their e-bikes come with a special place to hold a helmet.  Better yet, the helmet is attached to the bike, so that anyone who uses their e-bike has access to the helmet.

The helmet can only be unlocked via the Wheels app.  Also, all helmets come with a biodegradable liner that can be peeled off before each ride.

If germs are not your thing, as they are not mine, no need to worry.  Just pull off the liner, and you have a fresh, sweat and germ free helmet!

For those of you who are not familiar with Wheels, Wheels has electric bikes in service in Cleveland, Miami, Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas, Austin, Scottsdale, as well as Stockholm, Sweden.

Smaller e-bikes, and e-scooters – like the ones Wheels provides, are often impulse purchases (rides), which tend to have lower helmet adoption rates.  This makes sense, as most people that decide to take a ride in the spur of the moment probably don’t have a helmet with them.
